Finance Jobs Uganda 2017: The EASA Region includes Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique, Sudan (South), Ethiopia, and Burundi with a small program in Kenya. Operating over this extensive footprint, Right To Play is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning professional to strengthen the M&E function throughout the Region and support the line management in developing, adapting and implementing the best M&E practices in line with the organization’s culture and values.

Finance Jobs Uganda 2017: The Finance Assistant reports directly to the Project Officer (P0) in the project location and has technical reporting lines to the Finance Officer. The incumbent is responsible for data entry, processing transactions in Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Accounts Receivable, reconciling Bank Accounts entries and official receipts booklet, compiling vendors‘ tax files or payment and ensuring that all transactions and supporting documents are complete and properly filed. S/he will undertake implementation of project activities and provide support and guidance to the community team using RTP tools in the project location.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE):

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline
• 3 years‘ experience in accounting or directly related areas.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Ability to work well under pressure and deadline
• Integrity and details focused
• Ability to muititask and work within deadlines
• Good analytical skill
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft applications, including Excel and Word
• Good skill at using financial software applications
• Good knowledge of accounting practice, policies and procedures
• Excellent written and spoken English
