Job details:
Awamo Uganda Jobs: The job entails preparing our customers’ (MFIs and SACCOs) data in a timely and accurate manner to enable a smooth start working with awamo® 360. This includes digitizing information and records currently maintained on paper, organizing data currently maintained via Excel and or support our customers to export data from an IT solution they are currently using.

Qualifications

Academic/Skills

  • University diploma or equivalent – equivalent work experience will be considered as well
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (especially Excel)
  • Excellent general IT user skills
  • Fluency in English and other local languages specific to the area of operation
  • Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation

Work experience

  • Proven experience as data entry clerk
  • Basic understanding of databases

    Responsibilities & duties
  • Compile, verify accuracy and sort information from clients to prepare source data for computer entry within time limits
  • Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output
  • Update existing data in the computer database
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested, access relevant files and respond to queries for information
  • Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations to ensure data preservation
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
  • Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents
  • Keep information confidential and comply with data integrity and security policies
  • Ensure proper use of office equipment and address any malfunctions
