NWSC Uganda Jobs 2018: Ensure that the Human Resources employed meet the short, medium and long term objectives and that every employee’s potential and energies are directed to improve the overall performance of the company.

1. Receive and process requests for recruitment
2. Prepare and update manpower levels
3. Update salary scales of all employees
4. Supervise management of all staff welfare schemes
5. Manage the medical scheme and produces all medical reports for management information
6. Maintain and update personnel record through the Human Resource Management
Information System software
7. Prepare the leave roaster and process all staff leave
8. Issues and renews identity cards.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management.
• A minimum of one (1) years’ post qualification experience.

Age Limit: below 35 years.

• High integrity.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Knowledge of labour laws of Uganda.
• Proficiency in Human Resources Management Principles and Procedures.
• Ready to work long hours.
• Must be a mature and seasoned professional manager who is able to interact and coordinate activities well with staff at all levels of the company.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Prepare the payroll and ensure timely payment of salaries every month
  • Make statutory and other approved deductions i.e. P.A.Y.E, NSSF, Union dues among others
  • The incumbent will ensure remittance of payments as per the approved payment schedule
  • Process staff loan applications and submit loan repayment to the bank
  • Prepare separation documents for exiting staff
  • Process expatriate documentation with immigration i.e. Work permits, special passes, dependent passes and accommodation.
  • Prepare and submit reports on head count, payroll, utility bills and leave balances for management review
  • Maintain accurate personnel records
  • Provide secretarial and general administration support in the Human Resource and Administration section.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  

  • The ideal candidate for the TOTAL Human Resource Assistant – Administration job vacancy should hold a bachelors’ degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration. Possession of a Post Graduate Diploma in HR Management is an added advantage
  • At least two years of working experience in a busy commercial environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven record of integrity and confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Working experience with HR Information Systems and computer office packages

Human Resources/Administrative Assistant – Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Uganda

Job Summary: The Human Resources/Admin Assistant is primarily responsible for NRC’s reception area and for giving administrative support at the Kampala office.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • The incumbent will welcome visitors to the NRC office, and direct them accordingly
  • Receive incoming calls and make outgoing calls according to needs
  • Ensure order and cleanliness of the reception area
  • File administrative documents according to procedures
  • Ensure that utility bills (e.g. electricity, water, phone) are paid on time

Should be self-driven, self-motivated with integrity, a team player, and, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is also required.
