RHSP Uganda Jobs 2018: Rakai Health Sciences Program is a collaborative Bio-medical research and service delivery organization. It strives to improve the quality of life of the local population through a combination of community based research, curative services and prevention strategies in the district of Rakai, South Western Uganda.

With funding from PEPFAR/Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), RHSP is implementing a 5 year comprehensive HIV/ AIDS program in the 12 districts of Masaka region namely; Rakai, Kyotera, Masaka, Kalungu, Bukomansimbi, Lyantonde, Lwengo, Sembabule, Butambala, Gomba, Mpigi, and Kalangala with an aim of achieving rapid HIV epidemic control.

The Program is seeking to strengthen its staffing position in order to efficiently execute its activities at a

Job summary:

RHSP Uganda Jobs 2018: The Sanitary officer assists in providing support for general office operations, including maintaining the office premises clean (including the compound).

Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Photocopying documents and materials
• Delivers and collects documents, supplies and paper work as directed.
• Keep office area clean and tidy
• Switch off electrical appliances when not in use
• Maintain a clean compound
• Maintain the offices and rooms immaculately clean
• Perform work related errands as requested

Job Summary:

RHSP Uganda Jobs: The DREAMS Sub-County Coordinator will assist in the implementation of all DREAMS activities within the respective sub-county as guided by PEPFAR. The sub-county coordinator will work with the District DREAMS Coordinator, Program Area Supervisor, and other community structures to ensure quality delivery of DREAMS services in the respective districts.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation of DREAMS activities in the respective sub-county, by program area as described in the DREAMS work-plans and guided by the SOPs
  • Prepare accountabilities for respective field activities within the respective sub-county.
  • Plan for and oversee different operational field activities in the respective program areas within the sub-county.
  • Ensure daily reporting of program area activities in the sub-county via Slack.
  • Prepare weekly reports for the respective program areas within the respective sub-county.
  • Work closely with the district coordinators and program area supervisors for effective planning and coordination of activities.
  • Oversee maintenance of all DREAMS safe spaces within a sub-county
  • Work with various community structures to ensure smooth running of DREAMS field activities.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the DREAMS Sub-County Coordinator job opportunity should hold a Diploma in Social Sciences, or Related humanities field
  • Previous experience with DREAMS programming is an added advantage

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • The jobholder manages assistance to all travelers by ensuring timely accommodation bookings in line with the DRC travel policy.
  • The Administrative assistant controls the central mailing system for Arua Office.
  • The Administrative Assistant is responsible for processing payments to service providers under their docket to be reviewed by the Head of Support for accuracy. These payments will relate to travel and accommodation, utilities (cooking gas, running water, electricity, Garbage and Stan kit).
  • The Administrative Assistant will from time to time be required to take responsibility in office management by ensuring the office environment is clean and conducive.
  • Manages assistance for all guests including staff and all the other stake holders.
  • Manages the central mailing book for West Nile office ensuring that all incoming and outgoing mail is correctly recorded.
  • Maintains an updated contact list as shared by the IT Officer.
  • Organizing and scheduling appointments.
  • Receiving phone calls at the office.
  • Ensures that there is always tea, coffee and drinking water available at the office.
  • Compiles minutes from the Monday morning meetings from all Westnile locations and disseminates a finalized copy by Thursday of every week after the review of the Head of Support, It is the responsibility of the Admin Assistant to follow up with various field sites to ensure that the minutes will be received timely.
  • From time to time give assistance with logistical support to the organization of in-house trainings and meetings ensuring the venue is in order, stationary available, clean/suitable food and refreshments are provided if need be.
  • Manages filing of office administrative documents.
  • Displays necessary notices and memos on the office Notice board as requested.
  • The responsibilities mentioned above are not exhaustive and you may be required to perform extra tasks depending on operational needs.
