Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

Fleet management

  • Supports in monitoring of fuel usage by completing monthly fuel consumption efficiency and repair analysis report and keep custody of fleet records like mileage log sheets.
  • Prepares payment breakdown for the fuel consumed and repair costs showing the various account lines to be charged
  • Prepares and circulates weekly transport plans and route schedules and allocate drivers to ensure efficiency in coordination of staff movements according to Plan International Transport Policy.

Logistical support

  • Supports the procurement function in respect to staff accommodation bookings at prequalified hotels in conformity with Plan International policies and procedures.
  • Supports administration/procurement department to organise events, workshops and other related functions as agreed with the supervisor.
  • Supports the administration Assistant to follow up and verify goods and services delivered by vendors.
  • Prepares and shares with the Coordinator weekly procurement progress report for review and consolidation.

Other responsibilities

  • Develops and shares weekly work plans with measurable activities.
  • Develops and submits reports of the work done on monthly basis or as may be deemed necessary
  • Conducts sponsored children family visits, documents and submits home visit reports to his/her supervisor.
  • Works with other staff to promote team work and good working environment within work place and organisation.
  • Complies with Plan International policies and guidelines

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicants for the Plan International Graduate internship opportunity should have completed their degrees in the recent 18 months and should have the following qualifications: Bachelors’ degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounts or Finance) or related discipline.
  • The intern must be willing to abide by Plan International Uganda policies and procedures during the period of the internship.
  • The intern must be willing to sign and abide by the organization’s Safe Guarding children and Young people Policy.
  • The intern should be able to communicate and write in English.
  • The intern shall indemnify Plan International Uganda, its implementing partners, and its staff against any claims, that may arise in connection with the performance of this Agreement by the intern.
  • The intern shall declare that all works carried out during the internship duration remain the property of Plan International Uganda.
  • The intern should show commitment and availability at place of work as per the stated period of internship.
  • Applicants for graduate internship program must be willing to undertake assignment at Plan International Uganda – Tororo Programme Area.
  • They should have completed and graduated in the last 18 months

About UGAFODE:

UGAFODE Microfinance Limited (MDI) is a registered financial institution in Uganda and is adherent to the Central Bank’s regulations and guidelines and was founded in 1994 to provide quality microfinance services.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Work closely with the Branch Manager, draws the monthly action plan for the field promotion activities of the attached branch;
  • Implements the schedule of action plan agreed at the beginning of the month and provide daily feedback to his/her direct supervisor;
  • Responsible to represent and comprehensively explain UGAFODE mission and vision and all other products to the potential customers;
  • Develop excellent product knowledge of UGAFODE products and that of other competitors in the market, as well as take responsibility to stay updated with the changes related the products’ features that might occur and provide a transparent information to the potential customer;
  • Responsible to conduct financial literacy trainings to communities, schools and UGAFODE existing clients.
  • Sells and cross sells all the savings accounts accordingly and other alternative delivery channel products, such as, AirSave, Money Transfer, Mobile Money, etc.;
  • Suggests specific or particular savings promotion activities according to the specifics of the area and prepare the action plan in the branch level;
  • Supports the branch team in the market drive activities, leads the team and guarantees the follow up process for opening accounts to the potential customers identified during the field event;
  • Responsible to achieve the personal monthly targets both, in numbers and volumes;
  • Follows-up the and makes sure that the accounts activated by his/her promotion efforts are actively used by the customers;
  • Keep record of the data collected in the field on a predefined template;
  • Reports and provides feedback to Branch Manager and Savings Manager. 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidates for the UGAFODE Graduate Trainee (Savings Officer) jobs must hold Bachelor’s degrees in any business related field. Professional qualification is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of two years of related work experience in a financial institution or from a highly sales-driven environment
  • Prior experience as a Savings Officer in a reputable Bank, Microfinance Bank or other Financial Institutions is an advantage
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and confident

UHSC supports the Quantification and Procurement Planning Unit (QPPU) that is part of the Pharmacy Department of the MoH which aims to ensure optimum use of GoU and donor financing for pharmaceutical products by providing a single centralized system in the MOH for projecting and quantifying national requirements for EHMS; and coordinating contributors’ supply planning and ensuring appropriate products in adequate quantities are supplied on a timely basis.

Job Summary:

Supply Chain Management Jobs In Uganda: The Supply Chain Intern will carry out a range of critical functions aimed at ensuring availability of TB medicines and lab supplies at central and facility level. The intern will support NTLP in maintaining current logistics management information system and reporting requirements to enable the program make informed decisions related to supply chain management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Work in liaison with the QPPU Coordinator to ensure that TB medicines and lab supplies quantification and pipeline information are updated
  • Take part in the quantification, monitoring and supply planning of TB medicines and lab supplies
  • Work closely with the QPPU Coordinator to update TB medicines and supplies in the national bimonthly stock status report
  • Ensure timely ordering of TB supplies by all TB facilities
  • Take part in the implementation of the TB medicines web-based ordering and reporting system
  • Work closely with the M&E Associate to analyze data from the TB web-based ordering and reporting system and inform targeted facility supervision to improve data quality
  • Participate in data quality assessments for the TB medicines ordering and reporting system
  • Regularly monitor and update facility stock status for all MDR TB sites
  • Ensure that clearance documents for GDF shipments are availed in a timely manner to NMS
  • Maintain a tracking system for all TB medicines procured for Uganda.
  • Send regular updates to the Program Manager on the TB medicines and supplies stock status and any actions that need to be taken
  • Through the Program Manager, follow up with NMS regarding GDF medicine deliveries and any facility supply issues.
  • Participate in regular NTLP activities geared towards TB commodities logistics including meetings, support supervision, surveys, etc.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as need arises.
