Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to ensure that the organization operations are maintained in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Manage office welfare in order to maintain a conducive working environment and efficient operations
  • Manage and control Imprest system in the station to ensure timely execution of activities and accountability
  • Plan and manage the performance and development of staff under supervision so as to improve their productivity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in either; Administration, Secretarial Studies, Public Administration, Office and Information Management or any other related field
  • Basic Training in Records Management
  • Basic Training in Computer Applications
  • Basic Training in Planning
  • Customer Relations Management

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of Information policy, Client Service Standards,
  • Computer applications
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a reputable organization.

Desirable Skills

  • The ideal job holder must be a good time manager
  • S/he must have strong communication skills and customer care
  • S/he must possess good planning skills with an ability to organize meetings
  • S/he must have an impeccable record of integrity
  • The job holder must have good report writing skills

The new organization (URA) amalgamated the three tax administration departments that were responsible for all the taxes collected by the Central Government of Uganda.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

Maintain general cleanliness in the office to make it conducive for business operations:

  • Clean office furniture and equipment to ensure good hygiene
  • Prepare office tea and refreshments and ensure they are availed on time
  • Organize meetings and other engagements by scheduling use of rooms and equipment for use
  • Monitor the usage of office utilities to ensure proper resource utilization

Manage incoming and outgoing mails to enhance accountability and easy tracking of official correspondences:

  • Receive and sort official correspondences to enhance accountability and tracking
  • Record official correspondences in appropriate registers to enhance tracking and accountability
  • Distribute official correspondences to different offices to ensure timely delivery of mails
  • Receive Request for Purchase Orders from staff and obtain appropriate signatures
  • Record and track incoming payments receipts and make proper distribution of records.

Maintain stock of office supplies to ensure adequate:

  • Raise the stores requisition order and pick up office supplies from Stores to ensure adequate supply inventory levels based on anticipated requirements
  • Maintain office supplies to determine inventory levels and distribute them on required.
  • Account for office supplies expended for a particular period of time

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicants for the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Office Attendant jobs should hold A’ Level Certificates with a Pass in English at O’ level
  • At least two years’ related experience in a recognized organization.
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer care.
  • Ability to work well in a team

Job Summary: The TREP Officer will implement the Taxpayer register expansion programme by working closely with our partners (MOLG, KCCA, URSB) and the selected Local Governments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Carry out sensitization and tax education for clients in relation to their rights and obligations
  • Conduct door-to-door identification and registration of potential clients in order to expand.
  • Provide hands on support to clients in order to enable them meet their obligations in relation to registration, filling of tax returns and payment of taxes.
  • Identify and report risks that may impact the success of the programme.
  • Keenly monitor compliance of the clients to ensure they continuously fulfill their obligations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicants for the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) TREP Officer jobs should possess Bachelor’s degrees from recognized Academic Institutions. (Only Candidates with an Honours Degree should apply)
