The mandate is tocreate an enabling environment in the Agricultural Sector.

Job Summary:

Available Driving Jobs Uganda: The Driver (Light Vehicles) will support the “Improving Access and Use of Agricultural Equipment and Mechanization through use of Labour Saving Technologies” Project by being be responsible for driving/ operation, managing, and maintaining project vehicles in accordance with the transport policy and as directed by the supervising officer.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Driving vehicles for official duty and assignments;
• Performing basic maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle;
• In charge of reporting major technical mechanical faults to the supervising officer;
• Maintaining basic records regarding the vehicles as instructed; and
• Ensuring the safety of the vehicle while on duty.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

• The ideal candidate should be a Ugandan in possession of a Uganda Certificate of Education with a pass in English Language.
• Possess a valid and clean driving record and driving permit class B.
• Additional training in Defensive driving will be an added advantage.
• At least two years’ experience in driving.
• Basic Knowledge of mechanical and vehicle maintenance;
• Possess a clean driving record;
• Good public relations and customer care skills
• Good time management skills
• High degree of flexibility.
