About DataLab Project:
DataLab is a new Oxfam innovation program designed to enable more effective usage of existing data and to prototype new data services as minimal viable products (MVP’s) to test the propositions for Oxfam as protector and enabler of digital civic space of citizens in countries worldwide. Oxfam is a knowledge-driven organization and processing data into actual information feeds the evidence base of our theories of change. This project is about adding the power of prediction that is linked to the analyses of large amount of data into our work on knowledge development, but also about storing data effectively and efficiently, broadening the digital civic space of citizens and shaping related policies around that.

Job Summary: The Project Assistant will play a support role in all activities managed by the project coordinator of the DataLab Project.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the activities that are part of each sprint
• Responsible for internal communication with country office members
• Tasked with desk research and data input required during data analysing sprint
• Responsible for logistics external event (local work sessions)
• Responsible for research and making contact with relevant stakeholders for data sources.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The ideal candidate for the Oxfam Project Assistant job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.
• Familiarity with project implementation
• Good in administration and systematic way of working
• Good social skills, networker
• Affinity with new product development/innovation
• Excellent command of English
• High affinity with data projects and services
• Event organising and coordination desirable
