About Toyota Graduate Trainee Program :
The Toyota Graduate Trainee Program seeks to identify with young, enthusiastic and energetic graduates who will be taken through 24 months of rotational training in all areas of the Toyota Uganda business based in Kampala. It does not only provide a comprehensive induction, structured leadership development and mentoring, but also equips you with the competence and confidence to take on higher levels of professional responsibility.
About Toyota:
We are the market leader in Uganda’s automotive industry. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Corporation in Japan and the sole official distributor of brand new Toyota vehicles in Uganda as appointed by Toyota Motor Corporation. Our key business activities include the sale of Toyota motor vehicles, genuine parts and motor vehicle servicing & repair as well as Yamaha motorcycles, Hino trucks and Case tractors.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicants for the Toyota Graduate Trainee program should be fresh graduates with a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
- Self-confident
- Possess excellent communication and organization skills,
- Good planning skills and ability
- Highly innovative with fresh ideas
- Age: Below 25 years

In the new car market, Toyota Uganda is the undisputed leader. In the year 2019, it has held a market share of around 43% and Its followed by a well established Motorcare on more than 50 cars a day. In a larger context, an avenue to back bone engineering discipline is generated.

Should we aim only for internships or keep trying our luck with programs such as that of Toyota and hope we find one that doesn’t strictly require graduates?

It’s tricky for final year students but you can always get a letter of introduction from your department and apply for an independent internship otherwise graduate trainee jobs require one to have graduated.

Fresher jobs Uganda only advertises the jobs we get from employers. The eligibility criteria are clearly stipulated in the job. Our job is simply to advertise and we do not determine who is qualified or not for a certain job. That’s the employer’s job.
Regarding the application deadline, the link is open. Which means that the employer receives applications and only calls you if your CV is interesting.
