Job Summary :
A National Financial Co-operative is looking for a competent person to fill a Position of Information and Communications Technology Officer.
About Uganda Central Co-operative Financial Services
Uganda Central Cooperative Financial Services (UCCFS) was registered on the 28th of July 2008 by the Registrar of Co-operatives as a co-operative society limited by shares. UCCFS provides co-operative financial services to all types of Co-operatives (Apexes, Unions, SACCOs, RPOs, ACEs, and other primary Co-operatives) in Uganda. Since the closing of Uganda’s Co-operative Bank, Uganda’s coops have been left without a central financial authority. UCCFS hopes to take on this role in the future, providing a much needed centralized co-operative financial provider to support Uganda’s co-operative movement.
Roles and responsibilities
• Supporting UCCFS Member Cooperatives to functionalize their core banking software
• Ensuring that UCCFS Member Co-operatives effectively and efficiently utilize their respective banking software
• Provide Technical backup to UCCFS and Member Cooperatives in ICT related
• Services
• Support UCCFS and member SACCOS In networking computers
• Manage UCCES M.I.S dashboard to ensure efficient utilization of the services
• Ensure compliance to ICT Manual/Policy by UCCFS staff and Member Cooperatives
• Monitoring and Supervision of all UCCFS Member Co-operatives connected to the dashboard
• Mobilizing more Co-operatives to Join UCCFS and embrace Digital Financing
• Ensure increase in uptake of Digital Financing Services (DFS) by members of UCCFS Member Co-operatives
• Acts as a link between the Software service provider and UCCFS Member Co-operatives
• Note: Ability to work under pressure and on multiple tasks with minimum Supervision
Minimum Qualifications:
• Qualification: At least a Degree preferably in Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
• Experience At least one (1) year practical experience in ICT Related fields
• Experience in the use of SAVINGS PLUS Software is an added advantage
• Age Limit: 25 to 35 years
