Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) Profile:
The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) was established to implement the provisions of The UCC Act 2013 Laws of Uganda with a principal goal of developing a modern communications sub-sector and Infrastructure in Uganda, in conformity with the operationalization of the Telecommunications Policy.
Job Profile:
The Technician will support the regional office by carrying out assigned technical tasks in line with the Commission’s mandate and guidelines.
Roles and responsibilities:
- To ensure that all technical equipment is in good technical working conditions
- Troubleshoot technical problems for example electronic equipment such as communication equipment
- Provide support in carrying out technical inspections, and carry out routine monitoring measurements
- Provide support in conducting tests of communication equipment and collection of the required data.
- To provide support in setting up and monitoring technical equipment
- Assist the head office technical staff as they perform routine procedures in the regional offices.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate for the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) Technician job placement should hold a Diploma in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering or a related filed
- Two (2) years’ experience in telecommunications or electrical engineering in a similar corporate environment
