Job Profile:
To write compelling and optimised website copy for a wide range of industry types using our specific house style. This is an ideal position for someone looking to finely tune their writing skills and develop a comprehensive understanding of what makes a perfect website.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Writing compelling and optimised website copy for a wide range of industry types using our specific house style
- Understanding and utilising the connection between a tone of voice and target audience
- Ensuring websites are structured with good user experience in mind
- Proofreading website copy to ensure best practices are followed
- Take ownership of copywriting tasks, managing deadlines and projects through to completion
- Cross-referencing client assets against industry best practices and identifying opportunities to upsell our copywriting services
- Supporting the team with ad-hoc writing tasks and duties
- Understanding and utilising the connection between a tone of voice and target audience.
- Ensuring websites are structured with good user experience in mind.
- Proofreading website copy to ensure best practices are followed.
- Take ownership of copywriting tasks, managing deadlines and projects through to completion.
- Cross-referencing client assets against industry best practices and identifying opportunities to upsell our copywriting services.
- Working as part of a specialised team of copywriters, in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, you will be responsible for creating bespoke, engaging and optimised content for our client’s new websites, shaping their business’s tone of voice and ensuring that their unique story and product offerings are heard by potential customers online.
- Often being involved in several projects simultaneously, you will show strong multi-tasking and communication skills, as well as the determination and ability to deliver on business objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ similar experience as a writer
- An exceptional eye for detail
- A talent for storytelling
- The ability to simplify complex information and jargon-rich language
- A high degree of integrity, and resilience when giving and receiving direct feedback
- Excellent analytical, organisational and time management skills
- A confident communicator and positive team player
- Drive and the ability work on own initiative, without direct supervision
- Proven experience as a writer.
- An exceptional eye for detail with a talent for storytelling.
- The ability to simplify complex information and jargon-rich language.
- A high degree of integrity, and resilience when giving and receiving direct feedback.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- A confident communicator and a positive team player.
- Drive and the ability to work on own initiative, without direct supervision.
- This role may suit a graduate with a degree in either English Language/English Literature/Media Studies who have relevant commercial experience.
- Working Hours: 9 hours per day Monday – Friday, office hours 8:30 – 18:30
