Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Profile:
The Authority is a corporate body with perpetual succession and may sue and be sued in its corporate name and do, enjoy or suffer anything that may be done, enjoyed or suffered by a body corporate. The Authority is the governing body of the Capital City and administers Capital City on behalf of the central government subject to this Act. Any enactment that applies to a district shall, subject to this Act and with the necessary modifications, apply to the Authority
Job Profile:
Support and maintain in-house technology equipment and IT assets. This includes installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading all County hardware and equipment while ensuring its optimal performance.
Roles and responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible to the Supervisor Hardware Installations for performing the following duties:-
- 1. Executing timely repairs of all IT hardware equipment
2. Documenting installations, repairs and logging all hardware related issues pertaining to KCCA domain
3. Giving aid in supervision of preventive maintenance work and executing identification of hardware and other peripherals that require extra repair
4. Keeping track of warranty for all hardware and relating this during installations, repairs and maintenance
5. Identifying of machines for boarding off.
6. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honour’s Bachelor’s Degree in either Computer Science or Information Technology or Information Systems or Computer Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering or any other related field from a recognized University or Institution. A Postgraduate Diploma in either Computer Science or Information Technology or Information Systems or Computer Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering or Management or any other related field from a recognized University or Institution and Professional certification in either CompTIA A+ Certification, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of two (2) years of working experience in maintenance of IT hardware and network infrastructure at the Assistant Officer or Officer level in Government or from a reputable organization.
