Q-Sourcing Servtec Profile:
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan. On behalf of our client, we are looking for competent, skilled, and experienced candidates to fill up the following positions in Uganda.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Strict adherence to the standard operating procedures of the hatchery
- Learn and master the day to day running of the hatchery operations, including balance of different hatching levers (temperature, humidity, ventilation)
- Closely monitor machine performance and quick communication in case of any issue
- Adhere to all biosecurity standards.
- Participate in key hatching procedures, such as egg grading and sorting, setting, transfer, hatch, and vaccination.
- Maintain clean and well-organized facility, including daily hatchery cleaning and disinfection processes, close record keeping, and machine maintenance.
- Maintain discipline and teamwork.
- Actively be engaged in all hatchery operations as assigned by Hatchery Manager
Qualifications
- Passionate about positively impacting smallholder farmers and customers in rural areas.
- One to three years of experience with overall knowledge of the operations of a hatchery with Incubation, Hatching and Vaccination expertise.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Luganda, English)
- Ability to effectively problem solve and make decisions; ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes.
- Carries a positive, inspirational attitude while working under pressure.
- Demonstrates efficient time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited follow up; strong work ethic.
- Strong team player
- Honest and trustworthy
