Uganda Airlines is Uganda’s flagship national passenger and cargo carrier. We provide scheduled air transportation services in East Africa and near-international markets.
On 23rd April 2019, we received our first two Bombardier CRJ900s, the first of a growing fleet. During our first phase of operations, we will be flying to the cities of Nairobi, Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, Juba, Bujumbura, and Mogadishu.
With the upcoming arrival and addition of new planes to our fleet, we will expand our route map and fly to DRC, Zanzibar, Asmara, Hargeisa, Lusaka, Harare, Johannesburg, Djibouti, and Addis Ababa, and plan to make international flights connecting Uganda to Europe, the Middle East, West Africa and Asia.
Job Profile:
A cabin groomer is responsible for the cleaning of Aircraft cabins of Uganda Airlines after each flight.
Roles and responsibilities:
Key accountabilities /responsibilities:
- Wiping down all surface like seats, tray tables.
- Cleaning the inside of sear pockets.
- Vacuuming floors around the seats and aisles.
- Collecting all the trash in the cabin.
- Clearing all trash cans.
- Cleaning and brushing the lavatories meticulously.
- Spraying air freshener.
- Being courteous to passengers in transit.
- Maintain very good personal hygiene.
- Safe custody of any valuable items that maybe left behind by a passenger.
- Maintaining a safe environment.
- Clearing the aisles for easy movement.
- Re-stocking the seat pockets with inflight magazines or promotional items.
Key Competencies:
- Fluent in both oral and written English.
- Good work speed
- Flexible
- Organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent.
- Certificate or a Diploma holder with experience in cleaning services
- Knowledge in the use of cleaning chemicals
- General knowledge in Airside Safety, Airside Driving and DGR.
