Kakira Sugar Limited is a leading sugar manufacturer in Uganda. KSL boasts of two (2) sugar estates, one in Kakira — Jinja and the other in Kayunga.
Job Summary:
The Supervisor – Digital Stamps Process will be responsible for working hand in hand with the superintendent -bagging and chief chemist in making indents for reels from URA.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Inspection and confirmation of reels at stores ensuring that the reels received correspond with what has been ordered from URA.
- Receipt of reels from stores, recording box number (OF). CC code and the reel number in the system and forwarding to the Superintendent and Chief Chemist for accountability Issuing of reels to sugar go down store (Nazim) and making follow up on Sticker usage, record keeping and storage.
- Issuing of recorded reels for the stickering process ensuring each reel is awarded to a singles and reels are not interchanged for different SKU.
- Keeping records of reels usage involving daily updates of stickers used for all different SKUS.
- Making daily reports on sticker usage and emailing these reports to Superintendent and chief chemist.
- Making sure that stickers are cut and recorded following the reel sequence Stickered at the recommended positions on the products and the smooth running of the process.
- Ensuring that the number of products stickered corresponds to the total number of stickers used for example 100 stickers are used on 100 bags of sugar (each sticker per single product)
- Designing excel sheets for proper record keeping of stickers for accountability purposes and future reference
- Ensuring proper storage of reels. Reels are to be kept in clean and dry boxes away from water as water can destroy the stickers.
- Recording of all stickers damaged during the snickering process and those found damaged products. In charge of the stickering area.
- Making sure the area is always cleaned after the stickering process and all damaged stickers recorded.
- Orienting and training new staff on how to handle and apply stickers on different product.
- Making sure all staffs in stickering process adhere to the safety, health and environmental policy of the company and also the standard operating procedures.
- Performing any other related duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent-bagging, chief chemist of management from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Applicants must have Diploma in one of the following: Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science or Chemistry and a Certificate in Computer software.
- Applicants should have a minimum of two (2) years related experience
