Job Summary:
Experienced and reliable Garbage Truck Driver with exceptional driving skills and knowledge of safety standards. Careful recorder of daily collection and disposal logs. Flexible scheduling availability including early mornings and weekends.
Roles and responsibilities:
- The Garbage Truck Driver will perform daily maintenance and safety checks on garbage trucks.
- Ensure safe storage of trucks and equipment.
- Collect garbage from businesses residential buildings and various other facilities.
- Maintain and update daily pick-up records.
- Performed truck cleanings as required and on schedule.
- Haul waste and paper in single-axle dump and compactor truck.
- Report repair requirements and truck malfunctions to supervisor as needed.
- Adhere to scheduled route unless modified and authorized by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of truck operation and equipment safety
- Comprehensive grasp of garbage collection and disposal
- Thorough familiarity with record-keeping systems
- Strong ability to operate heavy-duty garbage trucks single-axle trucks and dumpsters responsibly and safely
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English
- Excellent familiarity with cleaning procedures and standards
