Job Summary:
The CAD Engineer is responsible for planning, development and creation of technical and detailed design drawings using CAD software applications.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering work related to configuring, deploying, maintaining and upgrading CAD models;
- Design, develop and engineer high quality models using 3D and 2D CAD tools;
- Produce designs that meet targets for feasibility, performance, costs, quality, safety, legislation and timing.
- Ensure that all work carried out is in compliance with company design, safety, quality, environmental compliance and procedural standards.
- Interact with Product Designers and Clients, as necessary to obtain critical design information necessary to complete project within intended time frame.
- Update and maintain product design files;
- Assist in improving daily processes to ensure that the CAD systems meet customer requirements;
- Train and guide Production Engineers on engineered design;
- Determine limitations, assumptions and solutions in the design and development of CAD models;
- Assist in implementation of CAD engineering applications;
- Determine design specifications and parameters for CAD models;
- Work with draftsmen to turn blueprints and technical drawings into 2D and 3D computer models
- Prepare Monthly Work Plans and Performance Reports necessary for executing the above duties and responsibilities; and
- Any other duties assigned by the Product Design Manager
Minimum Qualifications
- The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Honors) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Related Field from a recognized Institution;
- This is an entry level Position for Engineering Graduates therefore no Experience is required, However, demonstrated Knowledge and Skill with Computer Aided Design and Skills used in Automotive Engineering including but not limited to CATIA, ANSYS, SOLID WORKS or Related
