We are working with vendors to provide a more convenient and trusted shopping experience. We aim to provide value to vendors, consumers and delivery agents, that is through seamless & transparent ordering & fulfilling processes, automated payments and distribution systems. We started in January 2021 & are based in Kampala, Uganda.
Job Summary:
We’re seeking a hardworking & dedicated person to join the team and play an integral part in Ivazu becoming the best distribution service across Kampala.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Lead & Coordinate the delivery process & experience from Ivazu to customers
- Manage delivery agents – right from the selection process to the review of work & performance
- Collaborate with Team Lead to build efficient & sustainable processes to improve the logistics department and operations in general
- Lead the daily reconciliation for payments, allowances in accordance to deliveries made in collaboration with the Team Lead
- Be a sounding board for customers and delivery agents so as to implement improvements as quickly as possible.
Minimum Qualifications
- Solid academic performance with at a minimum a completed Bachelor/Undergraduate degree
- 1+ year working experience.
- Experience in operations/ e-commerce industry/on-demand services (not mandatory but a big bonus)
- Experience in project management and execution is also a big bonus
- Creativity & passion for building something that is innovative & has an impact.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, juggle multiple tasks, and think independently.
- An attitude of accountability and knowledge-sharing—you enjoy teaching and helping others grow
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills – who is emotionally intelligent, humble and able to provide quick and accurate updates.
- English & Luganda language fluency
