Appliance World Ltd is a leading electronics store with a range of appliances like refrigerators, cookers, washing machines, chest freezers, microwaves, small appliances, televisions, audios and many others. They are also the sole distributor of LG products in Uganda.
Job Summary:
You may specialise in one of the below areas:
Refrigeration – involves designing, installing and maintaining cooling systems in places like supermarkets, restaurants, hospitals, food processing plants and factories.
Air-conditioning – involves the installation and servicing of systems that control air quality, temperature and humidity in places such as offices, schools, hotels and other modern buildings.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Undertaking preparatory work
- Surveying buildings where cooling systems are to be fitted
- Discussing requirements with customers
- Designing cooling systems
- Overseeing installation of air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- Inspecting, testing, certificating and commissioning
- Identifying and rectifying faults
- Providing functional and technical information to customers
- Running quality checks to make sure systems are working properly and safely
Minimum Qualifications:
- The Air Con Design Engineer should hold relevant qualifications
- A minimum of three years of related work experience
