Roofings Profile:
Roofings Group, often referred to simply as Roofings, is the largest manufacturer of steel construction materials in Uganda with installed production capacity of 72,000 metric tonnes annually.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collect data on consumers and marketplaces and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations as will be guided.
- Participate in collecting data for feasibility studies.
- Compile and analyze statistical data using qualitative and quantitative methods to collect it.
- Interpret data, formulate reports, and make recommendations.
- Conduct physical market research.
- Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties research and implement best practices.
- Information on new entrants and exits in the market.
- Any other tasks assigned by the line manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The ideal applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Quantitative Economics & Business Analytics, or any related course.
- A minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a similar role.
- Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multitask.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS, SAS or similar), databases and MS Office.
- Adequate knowledge of primary data collection methodology and methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc.)
- Strong analytical & Critical thinking.
- Fluent in English, Swahili or French.
- Ability to develop creative solutions to problems.
- Ability to handle strong pressure and work under supervision.
- High organizational and negotiation skills.
