Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Share good practices from one Rig site with the other Rig sites.
  • Follow the HSE performances of all the Rigs and Services Contractors.
  • Issue the HSE reports of the D&W Entity as needed.
  • Organize Cause Tree Analysis (CTA) when needed, ensure that the action plan for identified corrective measures is implemented and feedback is provided to D&W.
  • The DW OSE assistant will support the DW OSE superintendent by:
  • Promoting the HSE culture on all Rig Sites to cope with the HSE objectives and to improve the HSE performances of the D&W Entity.
  • Liaising with the affiliate HSEQ Entity for all HSE matters related to drilling, work over or well activities.
  • Ensuring that the D&W and HSEQ referential is available within the rig sites and promote their knowledge and use.
  • Ensuring that the D&W and HSEQ referential is well applied on the rig site, under the responsibility of the D&W Manager.
  • Participating to the evaluation of the HSE performances of the Rig Contractor and other service providers during the Call For Tender (CFT) process.
  • Ensuring that, if applicable, Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) procedures exist within the operations and participate to their redaction or update.
  • Ensuring that a Blow Out Contingency Plan (BOCP) exists within the affiliate and participate to its preparation or update.
  • Preparing and organize blow out emergency drills. Ensure they are done on a regular basis, at least yearly, to test communication links and drilling emergency organization.
  • Ensuring that HSEQ training and the Rig safety induction are done properly.
  • Assisting the OSE Superintendent in developing with the Rig Contractor an HSE improvement plan.
  • Ensuring that the Rig Site HSE meeting is organized and implemented.
  • Developing with the Rig Contractor an HSE audit plan and ensure that these HSE audits are implemented every six months.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum education: 3 years Bachelor’s Degree. (Or equivalent professional experience)
  • A minimum of 2 years in an equivalent position on a large industrial project.
  • Drilling and Wells operational exposure is a plus.
  • HSE Background preferred, but candidates with proven track record on Drilling and wells operations will be considered
  • Certification preferred: Risks & Human factor; Cause tree analysis, Respect of environment in operations, Oil Spill Clearance.
  • Strong communication skills, leadership skills and the ability to work with and motivate employees on all levels of the organization.
