Mildmay Uganda is an indigenous Christian NGO that offers General and HIV/AIDS medical services also providing technical support for Ministry of Health Systems to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services.
Job Summary:
The facility-based Counsellor will be responsible for ensuring HTS targets are met, all positive clients tested positive are linked into care, and are supported to start ART. They shall also support counseling to all HIV clients in care to increase the identification of undiagnosed HIV-positive children and partners in the assigned facility. They shall provide quality psychosocial support to all clients in care to ensure that they are virally suppressed and retained in care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelors or Diploma in Counselling and Guidance and all other Humanities.
- Certificate in HIV Counseling.
- 1 experience of HIV/AIDS-related work.
- Knowledge of Ministry of health and local government systems
