StrongMinds treats depression among women of all ages in Africa, where access to mental health treatment is extremely limited. To date, StrongMinds has treated more than 70,000 women with depression in Uganda and Zambia. We are the only organization scaling a solution to depression in Africa with a potential to serve millions in the next ten years.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design concept for the radio messages
- Source for quality Voice Overs for radio messages
- Script and produce media content as per deliverables above.
- Ensure compliance to ethical requirements for safeguarding and child protection for minors and any other vulnerable groups involved in SMU’s media campaigns.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A career track in creative arts equivalent to 2 years active engagement in the art and creatives industry developing media content and products.
- A firm understanding of mental health problems, specifically depression within the Ugandan context.
- Experience in producing radio campaigns in the field of mental health
- Excellent skills in writing and producing audio messages for infotainment.
- Ability to set priorities while multi-tasking and meet deadlines.
- Proven technical ability to accomplish the task according to the client’s expectations i.e high quality audio output, good Voice actors, and engaging/ captivating/ memorable messages (messages that stick in the minds of listeners and prompt immediate action)
