Job Summary:
On behalf of our client, Agro Company we seek to recruit a highly competent, motivated and professional individual to fill the position of Junior Internal Auditor.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Review areas of risk, plan and conduct audits on these areas, recommend, and if applicable, participate in implementing strategies that will mitigate these risks and protect the interest of the business.
- Perform physical stock and cash checks to ensure that the correct quantities are in stock, and purchases and cash are matching with Tally.
- Check that stock and cash records are maintained and reconciled daily so that on any day a spot check on stock and cash can be carried out in any location.
- Actively investigate any discrepancies or abnormal losses.
- Perform audits on the stock movement process, ensuring internal controls are in place throughout the process from purchase, processing, storage, and to final export, and ensure key critical areas of the stock movement are controlled and any discrepancies escalated, addressed, and resolved.
- Manage and maintain the fixed asset register, physically confirming the existence of assets.
- Draft audit findings that clearly describe the conditions, criteria, cause and effect, and recommendations to correct identified deficiencies.
- Monitor the progress of the corrective actions to correct identified deficiencies.
- Continuously improve the audit process through new tools and techniques.
- Other reasonable duties/tasks from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- BSc in Finance or Accounting
- Part-qualified in CPA/ACCA desirable
- Excellent accounting, analytical, and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including good working knowledge of VLOOKUPS
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an auditing role
