Job Summary:

The Marketing Manager at SafeBoda plays a crucial role in driving marketing initiatives, coordinating projects and teams effectively. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will oversee various marketing activities, ensuring innovative strategies to elevate SafeBoda’s brand presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic plans for events sponsorships and marketing activities.
  • Cultivate and manage brand partnerships to enhance marketing efforts.
  • Recruit, train, and lead the field sales team to achieve targets and drive brand awareness.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and market trends.
  • Develop and implement effective offline marketing strategies.
  • Establish goals for the marketing team and monitor progress.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and ensure timely procurement of marketing materials.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements affecting marketing activities.
  • Oversee advertising and branding strategies, ensuring consistent visual messaging.

Qualifications & Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading a marketing team.
  • Experience in ride-hailing, transportation industry, or FMCG retail preferred.
  • Certifications in digital marketing or related areas are advantageous.

Technical Skills:

  • Innovative thinking to develop unique marketing strategies.
  • Experience in planning and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Knowledge of local market trends and customer behaviors.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing strategies and channels.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret marketing data.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics and CRM systems.

Personal Skills/Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Leadership qualities to lead a marketing team effectively.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic industry.
  • Strong networking skills.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
  • Experience in budget management.
