With field programs in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), CTPH is a leader in One Health and sustainable development, implementing integrated human, animal, and environmental health approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare and submit monthly financial reports to the Finance and Operations Manager.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements.
  • Process payments, including payroll, vendor invoices, and other disbursements.
  • Ensure compliance with CTPH’s financial policies and procedures.
  • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Collaborate with program staff to ensure proper allocation of funds.
  • Manage cash flow and prepare cash flow projections.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Finance and Operations Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized university.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within an NGO.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
