Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and customer-focused Relationship Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing relationships with clients in your assigned portfolio. If you are passionate about sales, marketing, and customer service, and have a keen eye for loan monitoring and collections, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing:

  • Identify the needs of both prospective and existing clients and match them with our financial solutions.
  • Drive business growth through new client acquisition and repeat purchases by existing clients.
  • Cross-sell company products to our clients.
  • Collect client feedback for process and product improvement.

Loan Monitoring and Collections:

  • Take an active interest in clients’ businesses to support their growth and ensure timely loan repayments.
  • Properly educate clients on product terms and conditions and the benefits of maintaining a good repayment history.
  • Align clients’ repayments with their good business days to facilitate timely payments.
  • Create a culture where late repayments are unacceptable.

Delinquency Management:

  • Keep our risk exposure at minimum acceptable levels by ensuring loan sizes and terms align with borrowers’ repayment capabilities.
  • Analyze business activities to identify and avoid funding high-risk ventures.
  • Assess seasons with difficulties in loan repayment and take steps to minimize risk exposure.
  • Continue collection efforts until loans are fully recovered.

Customer Service:

  • Build and maintain a positive self and company reputation to foster customer loyalty.
  • Ensure polished first contacts and impressions with clients.
  • Handle client interactions with respect and diligence.
  • Keep promises and commitments made to clients.
  • Effectively handle and resolve customer complaints.

Skills & Experience:

  • Diploma in Sales and Marketing or a related field.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
