Applications are now open for the MOFCOM Scholarship program for the 2024/2025 academic year. This scholarship opportunity invites qualified Ugandan scholars to pursue postgraduate studies in various fields at Chinese universities.

- Public Policy: 1 slot
- Public Health: 2 slots
- Educational Management and Policy: 1 slot
- Traffic and Transportation Engineering: 2 slots
- Industrial Engineering: 1 slot
- Software Engineering: 1 slot
- Advanced Nursing Practice and Medical Technology: 1 slot
- Business Administration: 1 slot
- Environmental Engineering: 1 slot
Eligibility Criteria:
- PhD applicants should hold a master’s degree in the relevant field.
- Master’s applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field.
- Applicants with foreign qualifications must have their academic documents equated by the National Council for Higher Education.
- Master’s program applicants must have at least three years of work experience in the relevant field.
- Applicants should be below 45 years of age at the time of application.
- Applicants should be physically and mentally fit to study overseas.
- Applicants already studying in China or on any scholarship program need not apply.
Application Procedure:
- All applicants must submit an online application to China following the guidelines provided on the Ministry of Education and Sports Website: www.education.go.ug.
- Printed copies of the online applications, along with an application letter containing a recent passport photograph, should be submitted. The application letter should indicate age, sex, program of study, home district, telephone contact, email address, work experience, and photocopies of academic documents and professional certificates, including the biodata page of the Biometric Passport.
- Applications should be addressed to: The Secretary Central Scholarships Committee Ministry of Education and Sports And delivered to: The Department of Admissions, Scholarships, and Student Affairs Legacy Towers, Kyadondo Road Plot 5, Kampala 2nd Floor, Wing B; or by email to: scholarships@education.go.ug
- Applications must reach the Ministry of Education and Sports by Tuesday, 20th May, 2024.
Selection Process:
- The shortlist of successful applicants will be displayed on the Ministry of Education and Sports Website: www.education.go.ug and on Notice Boards at Embassy House and Legacy Towers on Friday, 24th May 2024.
