Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, is dedicated to improving the health of women and families worldwide. They are currently seeking a Program Assistant to support and implement monitoring and evaluation activities for a Unitaid-funded project aimed at mitigating antimalarial drug resistance in Uganda.

Location: Kampala, Uganda

Position: Program Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support program, financial, and administrative functions of the project
  • Support data management for supported health facilities
  • Assist with preparation, monitoring, and tracking of project budgets
  • Ensure timely submission of required technical and administrative reports
  • Record and disseminate project meeting minutes
  • Assist in organizing meetings, field visits, and other project activities
  • Perform other programmatic and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant areas such as social sciences, public health, or population studies
  • At least three years’ experience in a similar position
  • Experience working with Ministry of Health and/or partners in the National Malaria Control Division
  • Proficiency in data management, including entry and analysis
  • Strong organizational and computer skills
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Willingness to work long hours and travel frequently
