Purpose:
The Partnerships & Resource Mobilization Officer will mobilize and support ENCOT leadership in identifying, capturing, and developing funding opportunities. The role involves ensuring effective strategic partnerships and donor relationships, developing a responsive resource mobilization team, and fostering cross-functional participation in resource mobilization.

Reporting Line:
This role reports directly to the Business Development Manager and works closely with the Finance and Administration Manager.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, pursue, and negotiate strategic partnership opportunities that align with ENCOT’s objectives and share information with the Business Development Manager and Finance & Administration Manager.
  2. Assist with funding proposal writing processes, including writing project and budget plan proposals and coordinating with stakeholders for joint submissions.
  3. Develop a fund generation and resource mobilization work plan and follow-up on its implementation, designing and writing materials for communications with prospective donors and agencies.
  4. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of ENCOT’s products/services to effectively communicate value propositions to partners.
  5. Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategic plans and initiatives to drive partnership success.
  7. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential partnership opportunities and threats.
  8. Track and report on key metrics, evaluate partnership effectiveness, and recommend improvements or changes as necessary.
  9. Stay updated with industry developments and emerging technologies to identify new partnership opportunities.
  10. Mobilize non-financial resources from private sector entities, individuals, and corporate agencies.
  11. Coordinate the processing of agreements related to funding opportunities and ensure timely follow-up in terms of report submissions to donors and grant renewal proposals.
  12. Undertake other relevant activities as assigned by the Business Development Manager and Finance & Administration Manager.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • At least one year of relevant hands-on experience in a similar field.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Good analytical skills in developing and implementing resource mobilization strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and demonstrate deliverables/outcomes.
  • Self-motivation and commitment to results-oriented work.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in using various software.
  • Demonstrated passion for improving the lives of the poor.
