Description:
The Nurse will work at the Allan Galpin Health Center, where they will:
- Assess and plan nursing care for in-patients.
- Take vital observations including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, and BMI on a daily basis.
- Alert doctors to any unique concerns or complaints regarding patients.
- Perform nursing procedures such as wound dressing, ear syringing, cannulation, bed making, damp dusting, sterilization, and drug administration.
- Collaborate with the ambulance driver in emergency responses.
- Conduct report writing and documentation.
- Ensure the safety and proper maintenance of clinic equipment.
- Participate in all health promotion activities and Continuous Medical Education.
- Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Head Nurse or Director of Medical Services.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in General Nursing or Registered Nurse/Midwife from a recognized institution.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is an added advantage.
- At least two (2) years of working experience in a hospital or registered health center setting.
- Availability to work on a rotational 24-hour shift as scheduled by the Head Nurse.
- Polite and able to deal with all visitors to AGHC, including staff and students.
- Committed Christian of high integrity and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
