Job Summary: UBOS is hiring Data Matching Editors to conduct the Post Enumeration Survey (PES) Data Matching exercise. Editors will be responsible for editing PES data for completeness, matching NPHC 2024 household records against PES 2024 records, identifying unmatched records, and conducting household interviews during reconciliation visits.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend and participate in all training sessions.
  • Edit all PES data for completeness in sample, households, and variables.
  • Match NPHC 2024 household records against PES 2024 records.
  • Identify and report unmatched records.
  • Maintain all PES materials/equipment in perfect working condition.
  • Conduct household interviews during reconciliation visits.
  • Handover PES materials and tools to the immediate supervisor after the exercise.
  • Perform any other assigned functions for the PES.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).
  • A credit in Mathematics and English at O-level.
  • Qualification in Computer applications is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • 3 months of continuous experience in data editing.
  • Practical experience in data processing.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Good computer knowledge.
  • Data processing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Must be available exclusively for the PES activity.
