Job Summary: UBOS seeks to hire Data Matching Editing Supervisors to oversee the effective supervision of the Post Enumeration Survey (PES) enumeration exercise within their assigned areas. Supervisors will ensure accurate data scrutiny, supervise field reconciliation visits, compile reports, and maintain all PES materials and equipment in optimal condition.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend and participate in all training sessions.
  • Scrutinize data edited by the matching staff.
  • Compile a list of records that have not matched for reconciliation visits.
  • Supervise field reconciliation visits.
  • Assign work to the matching staff.
  • Compile a PES 2024 editing, matching, and reconciliation report.
  • Handover PES materials and tools to the immediate supervisor after the exercise.
  • Perform any other assigned functions for the PES.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Computer Science, or IT.
  • Experience: Three months of continuous data editing experience.

Required Skills:

  • Practical experience of at least one year as a statistician/editor with a credible organization.
  • Good knowledge of statistical packages and applications, especially STATA, Excel, and Computer Assisted Personal Interview applications.
  • Data management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Must be available exclusively for the PES activity.
  • Working experience in compiling statistics from a reputable organization is an added advantage.
