Job Summary:
On behalf of our client, we are looking a for competent, skilled, and experienced Junior Graphic & Digital Designer to work in Kampala. We are looking for an outstanding In-House Graphic Designer to own everything design-related – from understanding, business/customer/Agent needs to concept creation to flawless final products.

- Rural consumers order and collect their goods through Agents located close to them;
- Urban/Diaspora consumers buy for their rural relatives and have them delivered to the closest Agent;

Roles and responsibilities:
- Adhering to the brand guidelines and coming up with designs and layouts that achieve the required objectives or goals presented to you by stakeholders across the business from concept to finish.
- Design a broad range of print items including posters, flyers, publications, promotional material, branding etc.
- Designing and producing interactive online designs and animations to be used online for social media and display ads
- Create engaging and complex animations for a diverse array of media
- Creation of digital design and assets for use on our website (icons, logos, lock-ups, banners, infographics etc)
- Bring fresh visual ideas, insights, and approaches by combining cultural awareness with your design expertise
- Encoding, converting, and editing of footage and adding motion graphics elements.
- Stay up to date on enhancements in technology and trends that affect application of animation and motion graphics in different media
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in graphic design field
- 2-4 years working experience in a similar role
- Expertise with standard digital design tools, including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, After Effects, InDesign etc.
- Working knowledge of CSS and HTML.
- Basic photo and video editing skills.
- Strong time management skills and an ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience working within a creative team
- Must have experience designing for both a rural and urban audience through eye-catching imagery and simple easily comprehendible language
- Must be equally proficient in digital and print design
- Meticulous attention to detail – ability to spot any tiny inconsistency or misplacement
- Conversant with a range of media and graphic design software, such as: Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- Possess a wildly active imagination, with a proven track record of bringing ideas to life on paper or screen
- Experience working with an E-commerce brand is a plus
