Position Summary:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Uganda Law Society (ULS) is responsible for leading the society’s Secretariat, overseeing the organization’s mandate, and ensuring the achievement of its strategic objectives. The CEO works under the supervision of the ULS Council and plays a crucial role in driving the society’s success through effective leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.

- Effective & Innovative membership services
- Sustainable management of ULS resources
- Resource mobilization and organizational sustainability of ULS
- Governance and Organizational stability
- Partnerships established and sustained
Job Description/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, economics, business management/administration, development economics, project management, or related field.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Administration, and Management is an added advantage.
- At least 6 years of working experience in top management, business development, or similar roles in a large reputable organization or Law Firm with complex environments.
- Impeccable Integrity and professionalism
- Strong understanding of legal regulations, compliance, and risk management.
- Excellent financial and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and management skills
- Demonstrable ability to Fundraise for Legal Aid and Strategic Projects.
- Experience in Legal aid project and Pro-bono initiatives and change management is a plus.
