DESCRIPTION:
Since its inception in 2022, the Uganda National Trans Forum has been a leader in advocating for transgender and gender diverse rights in Uganda. The Movement Building Lead plays a critical role in advancing the forum’s mission by creating a robust, resilient, and sustainable trans and gender diverse movement in Uganda. This role requires strategic planning, community engagement, advocacy, and resource mobilization skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Member of the transgender or gender diverse community.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in non-profit organizations.
- Proven ability to develop and execute resource mobilization strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Human Rights, or Development Studies preferred.
- Exceptional communication abilities in English and proficiency in local Ugandan languages.
