Job Title: Procurement Officer

Responsibilities:
- Consolidate and implement organizational procurement plans.
- Ensure compliance with procurement principles, standards, policies, and donor regulations.
- Manage procurement process of goods, services, and civil works.
- Conduct price comparisons and ensure purchases align with specifications.
- Manage communication with vendors and internal stakeholders on delivery schedules.
- Support development of standards and specifications for procurement.
- Oversee logistical aspects of goods and services movement.
- Fast track delivery of procurements, especially emergency ones.
- Manage frameworks and contract renewals for optimal value.
- Maintain an updated supplier database.
- Review supply contracts for revisions, pricing, and past performance.
- Coordinate disposal of obsolete assets and stocks.
- Update Procurement Manual and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure adherence to donor and organizational rules and regulations.
- Ensure functionality of E-Tendering module and contract management in ERP.
- Support improvement of procurement workflows.
- Provide advice for effective implementation of procurement plans.
- Manage inventory and facilitate tendering and tender committee activities.
- Prepare procurement reports and supplier performance reports.
Basic Qualifications, Training, and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Certification: Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in similar role, preferably in an International NGO.
