1. Internal Auditor – Head Office

Purpose:
The Internal Auditor performs professional internal auditing work which involves managing or conducting performance, operational, financial, IT, and compliance audit assignments across the organization. This role ensures the execution of the organization’s audit plan and provides consulting services to management and staff. It includes providing leadership in developing the annual internal audit plan with an emphasis on a risk-based approach designed to assist the board and management in attaining their objectives.

Reporting Line:
Reports to the Board Audit Committee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and conduct performance, operational, financial, IT, and compliance audit assignments.
  • Develop the annual internal audit plan.
  • Ensure compliance with The IIA’s International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
  • Provide consulting services to management and staff.
  • Maintain organizational and professional ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Audit, or related field.
  • Chartered training in Auditing, Accounting, and Compliance Management (e.g., IAA, CIA, ACCA, CPA) is an advantage.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Finance/Accounting and/or Audit/Risk management.
  • Exposure to best-practice financial management in a financial institution or audit firm.

Core Capabilities:

  • Knowledge of internal auditing principles and practices.
  • Understanding of the Standards and Code of Ethics.
  • Knowledge of contemporary risk management and control techniques.
  • Familiarity with management information systems terminology and practices.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and evaluation.
  • Strong planning and project management skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.

2. Internal Audit Assistant – Head Office

Purpose:
Assist the Internal Auditor in conducting audits and ensuring that company systems, policies, and procedures are being observed and applied, and making recommendations for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in establishing the objectives, scope, and methodology of audits and developing audit programs.
  • Help execute internal audits as per the approved annual audit plan.
  • Conduct risk analyses to develop the nature, timing, and extent of audit procedures.
  • Review and evaluate accounting and operational internal controls for both computerized and non-computerized processes.
  • Investigate and report on compliance breaches, identifying and documenting remedial actions.
  • Create working papers to document audit work performed, and collect, analyze, and document information supporting internal audit results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance & Accounting, Administration, Audit, or related field.
  • Professional certification in accounting and/or auditing (e.g., CIA, ACCA, CPA) is an advantage.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in Finance/Accounting and/or Audit/Risk management.

Core Capabilities:

  • Exposure to best-practice financial management in a financial institution or audit firm.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Understanding of current accounting and auditing standards, procedures, and requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills.
