ENCOT Microfinance Limited (ENCOT) is a social impact, fast-growing, and innovative microfinance institution (MFI) serving over 36,000 clients in 17 districts of the Mid-Western and Central regions of Uganda. ENCOT operates a network of 10 branches located in Hoima, Masindi, Kigumba, Kagadi, Nakasongola, Kawempe, Luweero, Bweyale, Katikara, and Karuguuza. ENCOT’s mission is to provide microfinance services to low-income smallholder farmer communities, particularly women, to help them create their own paths out of poverty through job creation.
Position: Sales Executives
Locations: Kigumba, Bweyale, and Nakasongola
Note: All applicants MUST be residents of the branches they intend to apply to.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs through market research.
- Sales Opportunities: Actively seek out new sales opportunities via cold selling, networking, and social media.
- Client Meetings: Set up meetings with potential clients, listen to their wishes and concerns.
- Presentations: Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services.
- Sales Reviews: Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data.
- Representation: Participate on behalf of ENCOT in exhibitions and conferences.
- Deal Negotiation: Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to achieve good results.
- Customer Feedback: Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams.
Core Capabilities:
- Proven experience as a sales representative or in relevant roles.
- Proficiency/fluent in English and any other two local languages.
- Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiation techniques.
- Fast learner with a passion for sales.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Aptitude for delivering attractive presentations.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum certificate in Social Work, Education, Business Administration, or any other related field.
- Hands-on experience in marketing operations is an added advantage.
