Purpose:
The SBC Coordinator will coordinate and manage the implementation of PSIU’s Social Behavioral Change (SBC) and health system strengthening interventions. They will provide technical coordination, support, and quality control for demand creation and health system strengthening interventions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and tracking of self-care service delivery prototypes and demand creation approaches within the public and private sectors.
  • Utilize established mechanisms to review data periodically to support evidence-based decision making and adaptive implementation.
  • Document key learnings and evidence to add to the knowledge base on DMPA-SC for self-injection and SBC interventions.
  • Supervise the use of tools and systems for PSIU SRH programs in health system strengthening and demand creation.
  • Oversee training and support supervision of health providers in DMPA-SC self-injection and counseling.
  • Provide supervision and technical guidance to SBC officers through on-job training.
  • Support field teams in planning, forecasting, ordering, and accounting for health commodities and equipment.
  • Lead the development of SBC materials and content responsive to project objectives and donor deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relations and collaboration with district local governments, implementing partners, and stakeholders.
  • Participate and represent PSIU in relevant coordination platforms and technical groups.
  • Ensure comprehensive, high-quality, and timely reporting of interventions as per donor requirements.
  • Monitor SBC/program-related budgets and work plans, ensuring optimal burn rates and timely activity implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, communications, humanities, midwifery, or nursing.
  • Master’s degree in public health or communications is an added advantage.
  • Progressively increasing management and technical responsibility in SRH implementation.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of technical principles and concepts in social and behavior change.
  • Experience in using user-centered approaches to develop and implement behavior change or marketing solutions.
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead data collection, analysis, and use from a broad range of sources.
  • Experience and skills in networking and relations with peer organizations.
