Yalelo Uganda, in collaboration with the Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU), is implementing the Young Africa Works – for Youth Employment Project. This initiative aims to empower youth in the surrounding communities of Jinja, Iganga, and the Kampala Metropolitan area.
Job Description
Job Title: Data Collectors – PSFU Project (05)
Reference: YUL/DC-PSFU/05/2024
Reports to: Project Lead
Scope of Work:
The Data Collectors will support the Young Africa Works – for Youth Employment Project by conducting surveys and collecting accurate data from various communities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys about the project, ensuring all responses are accurate and complete by following detailed survey instructions.
- Complete all assigned surveys within the designated period.
- Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of all collected data throughout the data collection process.
- Attend a mandatory onboarding and training session to comprehensively understand the project, survey instrument, data collection procedures, and quality assurance measures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Diploma in any field.
- Must be able to operate a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
- Must have keen attention to detail and the ability to analyze data.
- Previous experience conducting surveys is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Possession of a smartphone with reliable internet access.
- Must be aged between 18-30 years old.
- Must be a resident of Kampala, Jinja, or Iganga.
Additional Information:
- The work involves constant movement to different locations within the assigned areas.
- This position is temporarily available for five (05) days from 10th to 14th June 2024.
