Job Responsibilities:
Security of Premises:
- Ensure security of the premises, property, and authorized persons therein.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Human Resource and Administration or designate.
Security of Property:
- Safely custody all items under care.
- Ensure no NAFOPHANU property leaves the premises without proper authorization.
- Securely lock all windows and doors after working hours.
- Promptly report any damage or loss of property.
Security of People:
- Record every entry and exit of staff, visitors, vehicles, baggage, and equipment.
- Regulate entry of visitors and direct them to relevant offices.
- Monitor and report any unusual/suspicious persons or movements.
- Respond to threats to safety and security promptly.
Records & Reporting:
- Receive and forward any mail and items delivered at the gate.
- Ensure proper handover and takeover of responsibilities.
Person Specification:
Minimum Qualifications:
- O-level certificate of education or equivalent.
- Fluency in English.
- Training in the Police, Military, or recognized security organization is desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years carrying out guard services in a reputable organization.
Personal Attributes:
- High integrity, hardworking, courteous, dependable, punctual, tidy, and well-groomed.
- Willing to work long hours in challenging circumstances when required.
Additional Requirements:
- Must provide a letter of recommendation from the Local Council I Chairperson of the area of residence.
- Must produce a recommendation letter from the current employer.
- People Living with HIV (PLHIV) are particularly encouraged to apply.
