About SYRADO Uganda:
SYRADO Uganda is a young women-led not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the livelihoods of youth in slum communities. Our focus areas include:
- Economic Empowerment
- Sexual Reproductive Health Rights
- Prevention of Gender-Based Violence
- Climate Change Mitigation and Environmental Protection
- Mental Health
- Emergency Relief
We specifically support adolescent girls, young mothers, and other vulnerable youth. Our programs emphasize gender mainstreaming, leadership, and advocacy, encouraging youth to form groups for learning and active participation in development processes.
Volunteer Roles:
We are seeking volunteers with practical, hands-on skills to help make slum communities a better place. If you have expertise in any of the following areas, we would love to hear from you:
- Baking
- Teach baking techniques and recipes
- Assist in setting up small baking businesses
- Promote economic empowerment through baking skills
- Hairdressing
- Provide hairdressing training and skills
- Support youth in starting their own hairdressing businesses
- Encourage self-reliance through beauty services
- Paper Jewelry Making
- Instruct on creating paper jewelry
- Help in marketing and selling handmade jewelry
- Foster creativity and entrepreneurship
