Job Summary
The Head of Technology Risk Assessment and Governance will provide specialist advice and support in the development and implementation of IT security service delivery processes, methods, and techniques. This role ensures the secure management and control of IT access in alignment with governance requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Process:
- Provide specialist advice and support to safeguard information systems and associated assets through the identification and management of security risks.
- Identify, diagnose, and recommend improvements, ensuring solutions are appropriate and effective.
- Diagnose specialization problems and generate workable solutions using practical knowledge and theoretical guidelines.
- Perform security audits and clean-ups to maintain accurate and up-to-date access within the organization.
- Provide information on risk management impacts and mitigate risks related to system and application access.
- Analyze IT-related access reports to identify discrepancies and recommend remedial action.
- Define standard operating procedures (SOPs) and conduct research to provide input for operational reporting and decision-making.
- Plan for value-added process improvements, initiatives, and services to achieve operational objectives.
- Client/Customer:
- Support and contribute to a culture of customer service excellence.
- Build relationships with customers to foster a culture of service excellence.
- Conduct:
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework, and internal policies and standards.
- Finance:
- Contribute to cost reduction and minimize financial wastage in line with organizational policies and procedures.
- Learning and Growth:
- Participate in forums to enhance knowledge.
- Provide advice and support in change management.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and Professional Qualifications in Information Technology (Required).
