Job Summary:
The optometrist will conduct the necessary eye examinations and prescribe eyeglasses to the different patients in line with our client’s policies and procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct eye exams using optometric equipment and general diagnostic interpretation.
- Diagnose and suggest treatment for ocular disease.
- Prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses.
- Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and eye-care options.
- Answer questions and provide advice to patients regarding vision and optical issues.
- Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions
Minimum Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate must hold a minimum a Diploma in Optometry
- A Bachelor of Science in Optometry is an added advantage.
- 1-2 years of relevant working experience in the optics industry.
- Applied understanding of general principles of optometry and best practices for the diagnosis and treatment of eye-related disorders and conditions in both children and adults.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to patients of diverse backgrounds
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- General computer proficiency
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and multitasking ability
