Job Summary:

The Collections Representative plays a pivotal role in recovering overdue loans through planned interactions and scripted processes. They provide frontline support, fostering relationships with Fido clients to ensure repayment of loan installments while meeting set targets.

This position is crucial in achieving company performance targets and client relations strategies. Working collaboratively with other recovery agents/officers, under the supervision of a team leader or associate manager, agents will schedule tasks, meet financial targets, and deliver exceptional client experiences.

Agents work with department heads, team leaders, and managers to create and execute the recovery strategy. They create an environment where agents can proactively guide clients through the loan repayment journey, offering solutions to improve collection rates.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve assigned recovery amount targets and/or recovery rates
  • Meet assigned client interaction targets
  • Fulfill all other assigned recovery metrics by team leaders, managers, or department heads
  • Document all customer feedback as per department guidelines or team leader instructions
  • Resolve issues within individual limits at the first point of contact; escalate customer issues through appropriate channels
  • Foster a supportive team culture, sharing best practices and learnings with the business
  • Support in unexpected crisis/emergency responses to mitigate impact on clients and the business for successful recovery
  • Ensure professional, brand-aligned written and verbal communication with colleagues

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • One year of experience in a similar role within a fintech or financial company
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications; ability to generate reports using Excel is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent active listening skills
