Job Objective: As the Social Media Manager at Jumia, your role will be pivotal in developing and enhancing the Jumia brand across various social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and TikTok. You will engage with Jumia’s community of influencers, execute the content strategy to drive engagement, and position Jumia as a relevant and engaging brand associated with trendy content and positive conversations. This role requires a deep passion for social media, staying updated on trends, influencers, and being highly creative.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute high-quality content to enhance Jumia’s content strategy.
  • Monitor all social media channels daily to ensure brand consistency.
  • Develop weekly content plans to drive engagement and collaboration with the graphics team for quality visuals.
  • Stay updated on viral trends, trending products, challenges, and videos.
  • Share best practices across countries to improve brand visibility.
  • Generate weekly plans and reports to enhance key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor and scale Jumia’s relationship with influencers, focusing on growth and impact.
  • Evaluate success through KPIs such as influencer engagement, orders driven from content, and social media platform engagement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Passion for social media trends and scene.
  • Fast learning abilities and strong analytical skills.
  • Previous experience with social media, especially working in an agency, is advantageous.
  • Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with a willingness to thrive in an international and entrepreneurial environment.
