Job Title: Branch Manager

Responsibilities:

  1. Drive business growth through increasing loan and deposit portfolios, expanding customer base, and enhancing non-funded income.
  2. Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote bank products/services, including cross-selling and referrals.
  3. Conduct performance assessments of staff, ensuring productivity, and holding regular business review meetings.
  4. Oversee HR management, including cascading branch performance targets, appraising staff, and managing leave uptake.
  5. Ensure proper administration and logistics, overseeing bank assets, and compliance with policies and procedures.
  6. Manage risk and compliance by adhering to regulatory guidelines, conducting spot checks, and enforcing internal controls.
  7. Focus on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining good customer relationships, and adhering to service standards.
  8. Review, consolidate, and monitor branch budgets, including staff and capital expenditures, while minimizing expenses.
  9. Provide leadership by coordinating branch activities, representing the bank at events, and evaluating operations for risk assessment.

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Marketing, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in banking or similar environment, with at least two years in supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of branch banking operations, product features, and customer service.
  • Leadership, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in the field.
  • High level of integrity, self-initiative, and interpersonal skills.
