Job Summary: The Supply Clerk (Receiving) will manage the receiving, tracking, inspection, distribution, and inventory of property management services for the Department of State and associated agencies. This position, located in the General Services Section, will be under the supervision of the GSO Supply Supervisor (Receiving).

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Completion of Secondary school high school education is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in supply/warehousing/expendables or property/supply management.
  • Good knowledge of Department of State and Embassy supply policies and procedures, as well as SHEM safety guidelines.
  • Familiarity with the internal organization of the Embassy and its numerous agencies.
  • Understanding of supply chain management and warehouse operations, including receiving, inspecting, tracking, storing, and issuing supplies.
  • Proficiency in computerized inventory and stock control data programs.
  • Computer competencies including basic skills in Microsoft Office applications and related software.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management tools such as handheld scanners and software.
  • Valid, current Class B driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 51 lbs. (23kg) under OSHA standards.
  • Proficiency in English (Level III) and Luganda (Level III) both written and spoken.
